Past Perfect Tense in English Grammar/ हिंदी से English में अनुवाद करने के नियम
Past Perfect Tense के हिन्दी वाक्यों के अन्त में चुका था, चुकी थी, चुके थे, या था, यी थी, ये थे आदि शब्द आते हैं। Past Perfect Tense में had (helping verb) के साथ verb की 3rd form का use करते हैं।
Example:
- राम स्कूल जा चुका था।
- Ram had gone to school.
- लड़के मैदान में खेल चुके थे।
- Boys had played in the ground.
- मैं स्कूल में पढ़ा चुका था।
- I had taught in the school.
- राधा गाना गा चुकी थी।
- Radha had sung a song.
- क्या मोहन कक्षा में शोर मचा चुका था?
- Had Mohan made a noise in the class?
- आदि।
पहचान: चुका था , चुकी थी , चुके थे , लिया था , गया था

Rules of Translation अनुवाद करने के नियम
जब भूतकाल में एक के बाद एक दो कार्य समाप्त होते हों (दो खण्ड वाले वाक्य)
- इस tense में दो कार्यों का वर्णन होता है। एक कार्य दूसरे कार्य से पहले समाप्त हो जाता है। दोनों कार्य भूतकाल में ही समाप्त होते हैं।
- जो कार्य पहले समाप्त होता है उसका अँग्रेज़ी में अनुवाद करते समय प्रत्येक subject के साथ had लगाकर verb की 3rd form का use करते हैं।
- बाद में समाप्त होने वाले कार्य को past indefinite tense में लिखते हैं।
Example:
- मेरे स्टेशन पर पहुँचने से पहले गाडी छूट चुकी थी।
- The train had left before I reached the station.
- वृद्धा के मरने के बाद डॉक्टर नहीं आया था।
- The doctor did not come after the old lady had died.
Note:
- यदि वाक्य में पहले या पूर्व शब्द आये तो वाक्य के अन्तिम खण्ड की अँग्रेज़ी पहले लिखते हैं तथा उसे past perfect tense में लिखते हैं और before के बाद में पहले भाग की अँग्रेज़ी लिखते हैं तथा उसे past indefinite tense में लिखते हैं।
- यदि वाक्य में बाद या पश्चात शब्द आये तो वाक्य के अन्तिम खण्ड की अँग्रेज़ी पहले लिखते हैं तथा उसे past indefinite tense में लिखते हैं और After के बाद में पहले भाग की अँग्रेज़ी लिखते हैं तथा उसे past perfect tense में लिखते हैं।
Affirmative Sentences (साधारण वाक्य)
- वह किताब खरीद चुका था।
- He had bought the book.
- हम उसे रुपये दे चुके थे।
- We had given him money.
- भारत मैच जीत चुका था।
- India had won the match.
- हम उससे मिल चुके थे।
- We had met him.
- मरीज़ के आने से पहले डाक्टर जा चुका था।
- The doctor had gone before the patient came.
- बच्चों के आने से पहले माताजी ने खाना बना लिया था।
- The mother had cooked the food before the children came.
- बादल आने से पहले बारिश हो चुकी थी।
- It had rained before the clouds came.
- पुलिस के आने से पहले चोर भाग गया था।
- The thief had run away before the police came.
Negative Sentences (नकारात्मक वाक्य)
- वह मुझे रुपये नहीं दे चुका था।
- He had not given me money.
- आप किताब नहीं खरीद चुके थे।
- You had not bought the book.
- शिक्षक अंग्रेजी नहीं पढ़ा चुके थे।
- The teacher had not taught English.
- वे फिल्म नहीं देख चुके थे।
- They had not watched the film.
- चोर के भागने से पहले पुलिस वहाँ नहीं पहुँची थी।
- The police had not reached there before the thief ran away.
- वर्षा आरम्भ होने से पहले लडकियाँ अपने घर नहीं गयी थीं।
- The girls had not gone to their home before it rained.
- सूरज निकलने से पहले वह सोकर नहीं उठा था।
- He had not awaken before the sun rose.
- चाँद निकलने के बाद आसमान में सितारे नहीं चमके थे।
- The stars did not shine in the sky after the moon had risen.
Interrogative Sentences Type 1 (प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य)
जब वाक्य के शुरू में “क्या” हो
- क्या वह गीत गा चुकी थी?
- Had she sung the song?
- क्या तुम पत्र लिख चुके थे?
- Had you written the letter?
- क्या बच्चे हॉकी खेल चुके थे?
- Had the children played hockey?
- क्या आप उन्हें स्कूल भेज चुके थे?
- Had you sent them to school?
- क्या तुम्हारे घर पहुँचने से पहले माताजी ने खाना बना लिया था?
- Had the mother cooked the food before you reached at home?
- क्या नेताजी के आने से पहले किसी और ने स्टेज पर भाषण दिया था?
- Had someone delivered speech on the stage before the leader came?
- क्या मास्टरजी के आने से पहले बच्चे खामोश हो गये थे?
- Had the children become silent before the teacher came?
- क्या मेरे जाने के बाद तुम्हें मेरी याद आयी थी?
- Did you remember me after I had gone?
Interrogative Sentences Type 2 (प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य)
जब वाक्य के बीच में question word हो-
- वह गीत कब गा चुकी थी?
- When had she sung the song?
- तुम पत्र क्यों लिख चुके थे?
- Why had you written the letter?
- बच्चे हॉकी कहाँ खेल चुके थे?
- Where had the children played hockey?
- आप उन्हें स्कूल कब भेज चुके थे?
- When had you sent them to school?
- रमेश के आने से पहले महेश क्यों चला गया था?
- Why had Mahesh gone before Ramesh Came?
- मेरे घर पहुँचने से पहले बच्चे कहाँ चले गए थे?
- Where had the children gone before I reached home?
- मास्टरजी के आने से पहले उसने पत्र क्यों लिखा था?
- Why had he write a letter before the teacher came?
- मेरे जाने के बाद यहाँ कौन आया था?
- Who came here after I had gone?
Interrogative Negative Sentences (प्रश्नवाचक नकारात्मक वाक्य)

- राहुल ने अपना बैग क्लास में क्यों नहीं रखा था?
