Past Indefinite Tense in English Grammar/ हिंदी से English में अनुवाद करने के नियम
Past Indefinite Tense में बीते हुए समय में किसी क्रिया या घटना के बारे में बताया जाता है।
Past Indefinite Tense में हिन्दी वाक्यों के अन्त में ता था, ती थी, ते थे, या, ये, यी, आ, ई आदि शब्द आते हैं।
Example:
- राम स्कूल जाता था।
- Ram went to school.
- लड़के मैदान में खेलते थे।
- Boys played in the ground.
- मैं स्कूल में पढ़ाता था।
- I taught in the school.
- राधा ने गाना गाया।
- Radha sang a song.
- क्या मोहन कक्षा में शोर मचाता था?
- Did Mohan make a noise in the class?
- आदि।
पहचान: आ, इ , ए , ता था , ती थे , ते थे

Rules of Translation (अनुवाद करने के नियम)
Past indefinite tense में Affirmative Sentences के लिए हिन्दी वाक्यों का अँग्रेज़ी में अनुवाद करते समय सबसे पहले subject लिखते हैं इसके बाद verb की 2nd form लिखते हैं फिर object आदि लिखते हैं।
Formula:
Subject + verb (2nd form) + object + ……..
Affirmative Sentences (साधारण वाक्य)
- उसने फिल्म देखी / वह फिल्म देखता था।
- He watched a film.
- मैंने उसे बुलाया।
- I called him.
- हम वहाँ गए।
- We went there.
- उसने मेरी मदद की।
- He helped me.
Negative Sentences (नकारात्मक वाक्य)
जिन वाक्यों में ‘not’ या ‘नहीं’ होता है उन्हें negative sentences कहा जाता है।
इनका अनुवाद करते समय सबसे पहले subject लिखते हैं इसके बाद did not और उसके बाद verb की 1st form लिखते हैं फिर object आदि लिखते हैं।
Formula:
Subject + did not + verb(1st form) + object + ……….
- आपने उसे नहीं पढाया।
- You did not teach him.
- पुलिस ने उसे गिरफ्तार नहीं किया।
- The police did not arrest him.
- तुम स्कूल नहीं गए।
- You did not go to school.
- मैंने कार नहीं चलायी।
- I did not drive the car.
Interrogative Sentences Type 1(प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य)
जब वाक्य के शुरू में ‘क्या’ हो
Formula:
Did + subject + verb(1st form) + object + ……..
- क्या कविता ने गीत गाया?
- Did Kavita sing a song?
- क्या नितिन ने हॉकी खेला?
- Did Nitin play hockey?
- क्या उसने आपको बाज़ार में देखा ?
- Did he see you in the market?
- क्या आपने उनसे बात नहीं की ?
- Did you not talk to them?
Interrogative Sentences Type 2(प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य)
जब वाक्य के बीच में question हो
Formula:
Question Word + did + subject + verb(1st form) + object ……
Note: “Who” को subject की तरह use करते हैं। “Who” वाले sentences को affirmative sentence की तरह बनाते हैं तथा verb की 2nd form का use करते हैं।
- आपने अंग्रेजी कैसे सीखी ?
- How did you learn English?
- तुमने वह क्या किया ?
- What did you do there?
- वे कहाँ रहते थे ?
- Where did they live?
- तुम्हे किसने बताया ?
- Who told you?
Interrogative Negative Sentences (प्रश्नवाचक नकारात्मक वाक्य)
जब interrogative वाक्य में not भी आ रहा हो तो ऐसे वाक्यों को Interrogative Negative Sentences कहते हैं।
Formula:
Question + did + subject + not + verb(1st form) + object ………..
Example:
- तुम वहाँ क्यों नहीं गये?
- Why did you not go there?
- क्या वह आज स्कूल नहीं गयी?
- Did she not go to school today?
- क्या अभी तक सूरज नहीं निकला?
- Did the sun not rise yet?
- मैंने उसे क्या नहीं दिया?
- What did I not give him?
- उसने तुम्हें क्यों नहीं बुलाया?
- Why did she not call you?
- तुमने कौनसी फिल्म नहीं देखी?
- Which film did you not watch?
- आज तुमसे मिलने कौन नहीं आया?
- Who did not come to meet you?
- लडके मैदान में क्रिकेट क्यों नहीं खेले?
- Why did the boys not play the cricket in the field?
- आज वह लडकी क्लास में क्यों नहीं आयी?
- Why did that girl not come in the class today?
- उन्होंने तुम से बात क्यों नहीं की?
- Why did they not talk to you?
