Past Continuous Tense (Hindi से English बनाने के Rules)

Past Continuous Tense in English Grammar / हिंदी से English में अनुवाद करने के नियम

Past Continuous Tense के वाक्यों से पता चलता है कि कार्य भूतकाल में हो रहा था। Past Continuous Tense के हिन्दी वाक्यों के अन्त में रहा था, रही थी, रहे थे आदि शब्द आते हैं।

Example:

• राम स्कूल जा रहा था।
• Ram was going to school.
• लड़के मैदान में खेल रहे थे।
• Boys were playing in the ground.
• मैं स्कूल में पढ़ा रहा था।
• I was teaching in the school.
• राधा गाना गा रही थी।
• Radha was singing a song.
• क्या मोहन कक्षा में शोर मचा रहा था?
• Was Mohan making a noise in the class?
• आदि।

पहचान : रहा था , रही थी , रहे थे

Rule : Sub + was/were + V4 + Obj

Note :

• I, He , She, It, Name, Singular Noun के साथ was का प्रयोग करते हैं. 
• We, You, They, Plural Noun के साथ were का प्रयोग करते हैं. 

Rules of Translation अनुवाद करने के नियम

• Past Continuous Tense के sentences का हिन्दी में अनुवाद करते समय सबसे पहले subject लिखते हैं।
• इसके बाद helping verb was/were subject के अनुसार लिखते हैं। अगर subject एक वचन हो तो was लिखते हैं और अगर subject बहुवचन हो तो were लिखते हैं।
• इसके बाद verb की ing form लिखते हैं फिर object लिखते हैं।
• इनके अलावा अगर कुछ और भी words sentence के अन्दर हैं तो उनको object के बाद लिखते हैं।

Formula:

Subject + was/were + verb(ing) + object + ……….

Note: Past Continuous Tense में “I” को एकवचन (singular number) की तरह use करते हैं।

Affirmative Sentences (साधारण वाक्य)

• हम वहाँ जा रहे थे।
• We were going there.
• वह पत्र लिख रही थी।
• She was writing a letter .
• शिक्षक अंग्रेजी पढ़ा रहे थे।
• The teacher was teaching English.

Negative Sentences (नकारात्मक वाक्य)

Formula:

Subject + was/were + not + verb(ing) + object + ……… 

• वह यहाँ नहीं आ रहा था।
• He was not coming here.
• मैं उसे नही बुला रहा था।
• I was not calling him.
• वे फिल्म नहीं देख रहे थे।
• They were not watching the film.

Interrogative Sentences Type 1 (प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य)

जब वाक्य के शुरू में ‘क्या’ हो

Formula:

Was/were + subject + verb(ing) + object + …………..

• क्या वे अंग्रेजी बोल रहे थे?
• Were they speaking English?
• क्या नितिन कॉफ़ी पी रहा था?
• Was Nitin drinking coffee?
• क्या चपरासी घन्टी बजा रहा था?
• Was the peon ringing the bell?
• क्या सूनार अँगूठी बना रहा था?
• Was the goldsmith making a ring?
• क्या गली में ठंडी हवा चल रही थी?
• Was the cold wind blowing in the street?
• क्या माधुरी स्टेज पर डांस कर रही थी?
• Was the Madhuri dancing on the stage?
• क्या मास्टरजी विद्यार्थियों को डांट रहे थे?
• Was the teacher scolding the students?

Interrogative Sentences Type 2 (प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य)

जब वाक्य के बीच में question हो

Formula:

Question Word + was/were + subject + verb(ing) + object + …………

• आप कल कहाँ जा रहे थे?
• Where were you going yesterday?
• वह लडका इस गली में क्यों खडा था?
• Why was that boy standing in this street?
• तुम्हारे पापा इतनी ज़ोर ज़ोर से क्यों चिल्ला रहे थे?
• Why was your father shouting so loudly?
• तुम वहाँ उस समय क्या कर रहे थे?
• What were you doing there at that time?
• राहुल धीरे धीरे क्यों चल रहा था?
• Why was Rahul walking slowly?
• लोग गंगा में स्नान क्यों कर रहे थे?
• Why were the people bathing in the Ganga?
• वह तुमसे क्या कह रहा था?
• What was he saying to you?

Interrogative Negative Sentences (प्रश्नवाचक नकारात्मक वाक्य)

जब interrogative वाक्य में not भी आ रहा हो तो ऐसे वाक्यों को Interrogative Negative Sentences कहते हैं।

Formula:

Question + was/were + subject + not + verb(ing) + object + ……….

Example:

• तुम हमारे घर क्यों नहीं आ रहे थे?
• Why were you not coming to our home?
• वह मुझसे बात क्यों नहीं कर रहा था?
• Why was he not talking to me?
• स्कूल कौन नहीं जा रहा था?
• Who was not going to school?
• खाना कौन नहीं खा रहा था?
• Who was not eating the food?
• वह लडकी एक मधुर गीत क्याें नहीं गा रही थी?
• Why was that girl not singing a sweet song?
• इस स्कूल के लडके फुटबॉल क्यों नहीं खेल रहे थे?
• Why were the boys of this school not playing the football?
• माताजी खाना क्यों नहीं बना रही थीं?
• Why was the mother not cooking the food?
• बच्चे ताली क्यों नहीं बजा रहे थे?
• Why were the children not clapping?
• बूढे गंगा में क्यों नहीं नहा रहे थे?
• Why were the old men not bathing in the Ganga?
• पेड पर कौन नहीं चढ रहा था?
• Who was not climbing in the tree?
